On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, DAV Sector 4 organized a grand cultural event featuring Dandiya and Garba dances, along with the invocation of Goddess Durga. The program began with the invocation, "Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Sarvarupeṇa," reflecting the divine presence of the Goddess in all forms, emphasizing her dedication to the welfare of humanity.   The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the eternal prayer of "Asato Ma Sadgamaya, Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya," which represents the journey from ignorance to enlightenment. Following this, the students welcomed the guests with a melodious song, "Prangan Mein Aapka Swagat Hai," showcasing the Indian tradition of hospitality. The moment when the welcome song was sung in front of the Goddess felt both historic and profoundly spiritual.   The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic Dandiya and Garba performances by the young students, along with their mothers. Children from UKG and Classes 1 and 2 donned traditional attire, holding dandiya sticks, and danced with joy.    Addressing the parents, teachers, and students, the school principal,  Sarbendu Shekhar Kar, emphasized the importance of nurturing spirituality among children. He said, "Developing spirituality in children promotes peace of mind, intellectual growth, and the preservation of moral values. Through dance and music, these higher values can be effectively instilled in young minds."   He further added, "While the knowledge of the Vedas is crucial, the education of science is equally indispensable. We are committed to guiding students towards excellence in the field of science, including taking the top performers to ISRO."   Overall in-charge, Mr. L.K. Sinha, extended his heartfelt wishes to the entire DAV family on the occasion of Durga Puja and thanked everyone for making the event a grand success.   This celebration not only highlighted cultural awareness but also showcased the perfect blend of spirituality and maternal strength, leaving an unforgettable impression on all present.
